About the role
Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for a Programmer/Analyst to support BSC s Financial Consolidations, Planning and Reporting team. In this role you will work on various technologies including Hyperion, SAP S4 HANA, SQL and others to help support the existing environment and help implement new functionalities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Initiates, designs and manages the complete user-centered design cycle (user research, user modeling, user needs assessment, design, testing, developer relations) for the Hyperion Planning/Essbase, DRM, DRG and ODI projects, including approaches, trends, sources and uses of data that have a significant impact on individual or multiple departments.
  • Support the Planning/Budgeting and Financial Close consolidation processes for the Oracle EPM environment.
  • Work with other financial modules of S4 - SAP tools such as SAC, Group Consolidation and WBS.
  • Act as an IT Finance product leader and design and deliver innovative, creative solutions for the Hyperion platform.
  • Support the finance organization and create a trusted source of financial information for internal and external reporting.
  • Develop expertise in finance space and finance technology solutions in order to lead.
  • Ability to lead and develop strategic roadmaps, hi-level requirements and understanding of the business process workflow, identify new technologies to improve the customer experience.
  • Responsible for identifying and improving performance improvements, process improvements and team velocity of deliverables.
  • Track progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables while managing risks and issues.


What we're looking for:
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 2
    years of experience developing, supporting and maintaining IT applications.
  • 1
    years of experience with Financial Reporting, Web Analysis and/or other reporting tools and data integration tools
  • Experience working with Hyperion, SAP, SQL, or other financial related applications.
  • Extensive experience in business process & system analysis role and managing large IT projects.
  • Experience partnering with IT, Vendor and/or Business Customers on projects.
  • Experience working in an Agile team.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact.
  • Understanding of SOX and other Management Controls.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field.
  • Experience working on large scale projects.
  • Experience in Product Teams, Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience working on solutions in a controlled environment.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Past experience in Finance and Audit-Sox space.
