About the role:

As a Product Manager in the Digital Health Studio Hub, you will be responsible for daily guidance of a product team while also helping to support newer product teams within the larger IT DH umbrella.
You will work side-by-side (or virtually side-by-side through significant period of time on video chat) with other Product Managers, Product Designers, and Software Engineers in the Studio Hub to drive enterprise-wide digital health products and initiatives, and actively participate in a community of Product Managers in order to learn from others and to support and mentor Associate Product Managers.
Additionally, you will partner with functional leads in Quality, Regulatory, Security, and other areas to help incorporate our lean, user-centered, and agile methodologies into Boston Scientific s SOPs in order to enable digital health teams to move quickly within a highly regulated medical space.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Incorporate Agile, Lean, and User Centered Design methodologies to execute on product development, implementation and operations
  • Serve as a Product Manager in a balanced team developing Digital Health solutions and products within the Digital Health Studio
  • Define and articulate Product Vision and Strategy, Business Model to the team, to stakeholders, and to external parties
  • Responsible for product development prioritization and decisions on releases from a single MVP to a multi-solution platform, as a result of a close partnership with end users and the business
  • Work in dedicated, co-located product teams, consisting of Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers
  • Partner with Designers to lead kickoff, Discovery and Framing, and other exploratory activities for each project
  • Establish Product Roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners
  • Establish and track measurable objectives for the team, manage backlog, and de-risk product direction
  • Adjust product direction based on data, customer feedback, and business stakeholder feedback
  • Hold team meetings and help plan and facilitate stakeholder and end-user meetings/interviews
  • Responsible to release new product as often as is appropriate and making that determination
  • Communicate product updates back to business stakeholders through frequent communications such as weekly demo
  • Help maintain team culture and communication
  • Work with colleagues in IT and R&D, and partner and communicate frequently with Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Security, Privacy and other functions to deliver compliant software in an agile manner and drive the adoption of Lean/Agile/User-Centered practices
  • Build trust with stakeholders, working through difficult transitions to agile best practices
  • Ensure incorporation of product security, data privacy, quality, UX/UI/Ethnography principles, methodologies and enabling technologies
  • Serve as the interface between the team and the division.
    Represent the Product Owner, Stakeholders and functions in all team discussions
  • Manage and communicate project status to the rest of IT and other functions and stakeholders within the company
  • Maintain and continuously upgrade her/his knowledge of Digital Health and consumer wellness technologies, external competitive landscape, regulations, clinical settings, clinical workflows, DH product interconnectivity and system integrations, disease states; capable of learning rapidly to fill any knowledge gaps

What we re looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years demonstrated experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies
  • 4
    years experience being part of an agile software development team
  • 3
    years experience to modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies, specifically the extreme programming (XP) principles of paired programming, test driven development, and continuous improvement/continuous deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends; excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with and success influencing functional and technical team members at all levels in the organization
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team
  • Demonstrated experience in creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories
  • Demonstrated experience conducting user research and testing to understand needs

  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones

  • Experience with Health IT or Hospital IT a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand new fields, and to communicate effectively with SMEs across different subject areas and functions
