Description
The Regional Safety and Health Coordinator II position plays a key role in Cintas' culture and partners with top level leadership to ensure accident free locations while holding management accountable and providing professional insight to peers. This position is responsible for providing group and location management with guidance and support regarding the effective administration of safety and health programs. This role will drive management efforts for assigned group/locations to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, reduce vehicle accidents, and comply with OSHA standards and drive group location efforts to obtain and maintain recognition under the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program.
This role will serve as corporate safety team resource for the group executive.
Responsible for developing and maintaining safety & health compliance programs, training materials and educating assigned locations on safety and health policies, procedures, and best practices at Cintas
Conduct and review inspections of assigned facilities to identify potential OSHA compliance issues and coordinate and review inspections performed by other safety team partners who support group locations
Monitor and hold group/location management accountable for completion of corrective action plans developed to address compliance or management system issues
Ensure all assigned locations effectively implement Cintas safety and health Management System
Identify assigned locations that have the potential to successfully pursue VPP Star recognition and support candidate locations throughout the VPP process
Monitor group safety performance as reflected in monthly safety analytics reports and brief group executive regarding group successes and opportunities for improvement
Establish and maintain an effective communication system to ensure relevant safety and health information is provided to location management and partners on a timely basis
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree plus 5 years safety experience or High School/GED diploma with 10 years full time safety experience (two years of Cintas Operations experience may be considered the equivalent of one year full time safety experience).
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards required
Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices required
Successful experience in recommending, developing and implememting safety and health compliance strategies and management systems required
Willingness to travel up to 60% required
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
