Description
The Business Analyst role is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Monitor incoming electronic claim files to identify and resolve issues timely
Communicate status updates to internal management and external TPA customers
Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.
Develop acceptance criteria/test cases for system projects and lights on work and complete associated user acceptance criteria.
Work with front line business units to support operational readiness.
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.
Qualifications
Business Analyst II
Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Along with years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities, business operations, experience with user acceptance test development and execution as well as operational readiness methodology; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.
Business Analyst III
Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.
Along with years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities, business operations, experience with user acceptance test development and execution as well as operational readiness methodology; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred skills/
Experience:
Health insurance background
SME- Electronic Claims; research issues, monitor, track, find resolution
Experience supporting Member/Provider portals on the business side
Ability to be the liaison between IT and front line business
Looking for strong business experience with a high level technical understanding.
Strong experience with development and execution of User Acceptance Testing
Strong verbal, written, presentation skills
