Credit and Collections Representative

Description
This position is responsible for following procedures to ensure orders are reviewed and released in a timely manner and recommend the appropriate credit lines for customers.
Accountabilities
Follow the credit process and procedures to make credit decisions to release orders on hold.
Conduct customer review of new and existing customers to recommend credit lines. Keep manager informed of deteriorating credit.
Partner with vendor specialist to provide feedback on performance related to offshore team.
Works as a liaison to ensure outstanding issues are resolved that may prevent order production.
Partner with cash applications team and customer service to research and resolve short payments.
Informs manager of potential problems in the credit review process or collection process and make recommendations for process improvement.
Partner with collections lead on delinquent accounts to collect on outstanding accounts.
Respond to email and phone requests by engaging appropriate parties to ensure the request is complete in a timely manner.
Complies with work requirements related to attendance and notice of absence, general conduct and following work direction.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required: - Bachelors degree or high school plus 2 years experience in business related fields
Understanding business process and impacts
Knowledge of ERP system
Ability to learn multiple systems and business process variations
Strong oral and written communication
Ability to interact with various levels of management Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Ability to prioritize workload and escalate issues to manager as needed
Ability to understand time sensitive data
Ability to learn and manage multiple phone lines
