MN Community Support Staff

Dungarvin is seeking qualified Community Support Specialists to assist the individuals we support in leading happy and healthy lives. Staff will support individuals with a variety of activities including daily living skills, money management, appointments, community integration, medication administration, and following their support plans.
Dungarvin supports individuals predominantly in the St. Paul and surrounding areas. Community Support Specialists working in an in-home setting will be working 1:1 with individuals in their own apartments, or family homes. If you enjoy spending 1:1 time with individuals and giving them the attention they need in order to thrive and become more independent, than this is the setting for you. Dungarvin has immediate full time Community Support Specialist opportunities. Fulltime day and evening hours available.
Responsibilities:
The Community Support Staff is responsible to provide direct services to the individuals, including: assisting the individual to address designated program areas that may include, but are not limited to, completing shopping trips and errands, budgeting, tracking, scheduling and attending medical appointments, and other areas of daily living that the individual served may have difficulty addressing independently.
Must have all of the following: a sincere desire to provide direct service to persons with disabilities, ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities, ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in service provision, ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
AJRequirementsRequirements:
Must have computer skills to electronically document throughout your shift using Therap
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Flexibility to work within the 9am-8pm time frame
Valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record
Must pass a criminal background check
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
High behavior or medical experience preferred
