SVP North American Sales

Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive and effective internal and external strategic sales plans to increase revenues and profits. Owns the funnel management process as a means to drive sales growth, support the installed base of business and drive forecasting process. Championing accountability, creativity, and transparency, this role will help the company to continue a path of growth and excellence. As the lead Sales Executive, contributes significantly to the strategic plan and charting the course of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Establishes strategic plans to achieve external and internal sales growth objectives for products and services.
The role is equal parts strategy and executor.
Must keep the team focused on growth efforts, and must create a system to follow up on those growth efforts.
Continuously assesses current models of business operations and develops appropriate new models that will improve the customer and prospect experience.
Ownership of CRM, including strategy, optimization, and usage.
Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors
Capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
Assists in developing and owns implementing the recommendations of the strategic marketing plan.
Evaluates operational issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the latest trends in the industry.
Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
Assists in business plans for new product opportunities.
Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior. Includes ensuring sales team's compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
Build and manage an opportunity pipeline sufficient to meet the Company's new product development targets and to provide accurate sales forecasting to support the Company's business planning needs.
10 years' experience leading sales teams in a solution sales environment.
A track record of delivering sales growth with urgency.
Experience influencing and driving effective sales plans including model development and compensation structure
Truly committed to following a sales management process
B.S. Engineering, Business or relevant field. MBA degree preferred.
Able and willing to travel, at times > 50% on the road.
Expected to have an active presence at Corporate HQ in Saint Paul, MN if not located there
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
