Job Description North Star Diesel Service, a small shop located in Eagan, MN is seeking to add a diesel technician to our mechanic team. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used.Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.Misc tasks as assigned by manager Requirements:Excellent mechanical skillsTrade-specific tooling, including hand and pneumatic toolsAbility to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipmentStrong oral and written communication skillsGraduation from related diesel technology program preferredCandidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. Benefits of this position include weekends off, group health and dental coverage, supplemental life and disability insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and personal time, and 401(k) with company match as well as boot and tool allowances. Existing DOT certification and Class A Licenses are preferred, the ability to obtain such is REQUIRED.
