Maintenance Technician

Colonial Village Apartments is looking to hire a full-time experienced Maintenance Technician. Located in Eagan, this garden style residential property is near the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 77.
Maintenance employees are responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of property and must strive to maintain a safe living environment for residents, employees and visitors. Qualified applicants must demonstrate a basic understanding and knowledge of general maintenance, carpentry, painting, refurbishing, plumbing, electricity, appliances and HVAC.
Preferred applicants are highly organized, business professional and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to recognize problems before they happen are also beneficial.
In this position you will be working in the homes of our residents. Not only do you need to fix the problem, you also need to pride yourself on your interactions with the residents. Taking additional time to understand and listen to concerns is crucial.
Additional Requirements:
o Minimum one year full-time maintenance experience
o Maintain a valid drivers' license and reliable transportation
o Supply basic tools
o Special Class Boilers License and Commercial Pool Operator License are preferred but not required.
Applicants must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and as required be available to work: extended hours, rotational on-call, weekends, month-end turnovers and special projects.
Position has an hourly wage that is based on previous experience. Benefits include PTO, paid holidays, 401k program with match after one year, medical and dental.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
