Job Description: Provide support to the processes related to Talent Acquisition, onboarding and offboarding processes. Assignments are characterized by an emphasis upon the processing of information or execution of defined programs/actions.
Minimum
Qualifications: -Minimum 2 years of Paraprofessional (or comparable technical/
administrative
support) experience performing a variety of HR support functions.
-Knowledge of employment law, rules, and regulations including position/personnel transaction processing, and/or payroll processing.
-Reading comprehension sufficient to understand and correctly apply written material such as labor contract/plan provisions, personnel policy/operating procedures, insurance/benefit information.
-Customer service sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships, tactfully deliver/explain information, and provide knowledgeable, courteous and effective service to clients.
-Independently handle, prioritize, and complete a variety of HR-related client inquiries, problems, transactions, and assignments.
-Ability to learn, apply and interpret the
minnesota
Data Practices Act sufficient to respond appropriately to requests for data.
-Demonstrated
computer
skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create, edit, and summarize letters, reports, and other communications.
-Math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages and use simple formulas.

Preferred
Qualifications: -Experience working in higher education, MNSCU, or State of MN
-Associates degree in office management, Human Resources or related area;
-Two years? experience in recruitment;
-Experience using applicant tracking software (i.e. NEO GOV, Taleo, PeopleSoft, etc.);
-Knowledge of human resource management information systems;
-Ability to collaborate and develop effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and at different levels in the University

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
