Job Description: This position will serve as the Central Office Safety Administrator. It will provide safety management leadership for the facilities and operations in order to prevent and mitigate costs associated with personal injuries and property/environmental damages. Included in the responsibilities are the following: development and direction of the office-wide Safety and Health Program as well as the Motor Vehicle Safety Program; development of proactive safety measures and solutions; management of the hazardous waste program; investigation of accidents and personal injuries; administration of safety training; implementation of audits of facilities and work sites; and participation in information-sharing with other safety professionals through the department.
This job is a mixture of field and office work, with occasional travel required.
Minimum
Qualifications: The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position.
Bachelor's or higher level degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, (or closely related field), and three years of related professional-level work experience in the field of occupational health and safety.

-Thorough knowledge of federal and state occupational safety and health rules and regulations, ergonomics, techniques of injury prevention and hazard evaluation.
-Experience developing and conducting safety training.
-Leadership skills sufficient to effectively facilitate meetings and bring groups and committees to productive and solutions-focused conclusions.
-Demonstrated ability to identify occupational safety and health problems and to develop, support and implement solutions.
Valid Driver?s License is required.
Preferred
Qualifications: Master?s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or other closely related field.
Experience working in a field environment which includes highway right-of-way, maintenance truck stations, mechanic shops, and office settings.
Certification as a Certified Safety Professional or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist.
Experience with hazardous materials and hazardous waste management programs.
Functional knowledge of the following:
computer
applications such as MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel; safety and industrial hygiene related instrumentation, and field and office ergonomics.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
