Job Description:

We are searching for a top-notch UNIX/Linux System Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Eagan, MN. This is an on-site position with potential hybrid remote possibilities. First month will be full time on-site. Details to be discussed during screening.
You will join the Midrange System Administration teams and provide UNIX / Linux System Operational Upgrade/Availability services teams for an assigned set of US Postal Service applications. The scope includes the full range of system life-cycle phases including, Build, Application /Service Provisioning, Operations and Decommissioning.
This position will primarily be working with the team to build and/or upgrade virtual and physical hosts with the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Distribution from SLES 11 to SLES 12/15 using Ansible and adding storage using VMWare tools. Other duties assigned will include contribution to break/fix activities, Disaster Recovery assistance and other Operational Availability tasks.
The engineer should have a deep familiarity with automation and typical applications support associated with these platforms. This role will heavily contribute to the team responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of central IT infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Upgrade of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Distribution from SLES 11 to SLES 12.x / SLES 15.x
  • SME level Unix / Linux System Administration, infrastructure support and automation support.
  • Installation and maintenance of OS
  • Contributor to Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
  • User Support / Problem resolution
  • Automating existing processes
Skills &
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years' experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience dealing with management of large (> 1000 systems) environments
  • Experience with Linux (SuSE and Red Hat)
  • Experience upgrading SUSE environments.
  • Experience with patch management.
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Have some understanding with configuration management of large environments, utilizing automation tools such as:
    AWX Tower, Ansible or other configuration management frameworks.
  • Ability to take customer requirements and create scalable configuration models to support them
  • Process Implementation and documentation
  • Experience using Change/Incident Management tools (ServiceNow)
  • Senior in Linux OS Administration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems from the Application tier, through the OS and Network tiers.
  • Unix Shell Scripting
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
  • Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years
Preferred
Qualifications:
  • Expertise with CONTROL-M
  • Expertise with SMT and custom patch solutions for SuSE and Red Hat systems
  • Expertise with GIT/ GitLab/Ansible/Anisible Tower (AWX)
  • Experience with Cassandra
  • Experience with Oracle CRS (installation/configuration/maintenance)
  • Expertise with custom AutoYaST and Kickstart deployments
  • SOX/PCI Compliance Management

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
