Engineering Manager (Hybrid)

At Securian Financial the internal position title is Engineering Mgr Position Summary Securian Financial is looking for an Engineering Manager passionate about technology solutions and developing associates to deliver outcomes as part of our Employee Benefit Solutions Technology (EBST) team.
A part of Enterprise Technology, this leader will focus on the people, process and technology surrounding two agile software development teams powering our work to deliver employee benefit solutions (aka Group Insurance) for our large employer customers and their employees.
In supporting Securian's largest revenue generating market, you and your teams will be a part of key initiatives important to the success of the enterprise.
This Engineering Manager's initial assignment will likely include engineering leadership for two of the following three teams:
Enterprise Integration Services, Employer Data, and/or Life Underwriting.
Exact role to be determined based on best fit and need.
Note that team leadership and structure can change over time as the organization continues to evolve.
What you would do in this job:
Lead, recruit, motivate, champion, and develop engineering associates, maximizing their individual contributions, professional growth, and ability to build/sustain a team culture of efficiency and quality across an agile software development teamPartner with a matrixed leadership team (including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, other Engineering Leaders, etc.
) in an agile development environment to promote engineering best practices with overall accountability for the solution design & engineering to operate safely, securely, and effectively in the delivery of business outcomesCreate excitement among stakeholders and team members by setting the bar high, and then inspiring action, communicating values, and serving as a mentor/coach to team membersWhat you will bring:
Experience in coaching, mentoring, and enabling agile teams, while supporting engineering skill development and continuous improvement aligned with the software development life cycle and agile delivery modelTechnical aptitude to understand platform solutions and how those solutions interrelate with other internal/external systems or solutions Demonstrate a solution-oriented approach and willingness to resolve or elevate issues quickly Communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to connect and engage delivery teams as well as negotiate with business and technology leaders.
Willingness to challenge the status quo and push for innovative solutionsPreferred qualifications1

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
