As a Human Intelligence Collector in the Army National Guard, you will earn a security clearance, then utilize your strategic, cognitive, and language skills to obtain Intel from both friendly and hostile sources.
Your duties may include conducting intelligence gathering missions involving human sources; interrogating and debriefing, as defined by regulation, as well as other tactical and strategic interrogation-related duties; developing intelligence gathering and collection missions as well as interrogation plans; advising military organizations based on intelligence gathering; and coordinating with federal agencies.

Job training for Human Intelligence Collection Technicians consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, 6 to 18 months of language training to learn a foreign language, and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
During AIT, you'll learn in the classroom and also gain experience in the field.
Completion of your initial entry training in the Army National Guard can also lead to additional college credit.
