Alek ObuhovskiyDescriptionThe IT Support Specialist position is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of information systems within our organization.
This role is responsible for providing technical support, implementing new software systems, facilitating employee onboarding/offboarding processes, and maintaining hardware inventories.
The IT Support Specialist must demonstrate a strong commitment to security, reliability, manageability, and alignment with the organization's business objectives.
What You'll Do:
Implementation of New Software Systems:
Support the evaluation of potential replacement software, considering factors such as functionality, security, and scalability.
Coordinate training sessions and process optimization efforts to maximize the effectiveness of new software deployments.
Assist in integrating new systems with existing legacy systems, fostering interoperability and data consistency (e.
g.
, Procore/Acumatica integration).
Employee On/Offboarding Support:
Provide IT support for the onboarding and offboarding of new employees, ensuring access to necessary resources and security compliance.
Assist in setting up user accounts, permissions, and access controls for new employees.
Coordinate with HR and other departments to streamline the onboarding/offboarding process.
Ongoing Technical Support:
Manage Help Desk tickets.
Offer technical support to current employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly.
Document changes and ensure proper testing of proposed software updates or configurations to minimize disruptions.
Deadline and Project Management:
Ensure that all IT projects and tasks meet designated deadlines.
Technical Consulting and Risk Assessment:
Provide technical consulting services to users and department managers, helping them achieve their business goals while maintaining system security and reliability.
Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and determine appropriate controls for business application software.
Hardware Inventory Management:
Document, inventory, and maintain hardware inventories, ensuring accurate records of equipment and accessories.
Coordinate procurement and disposal of hardware assets in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position:
Monday through Friday, with regularly scheduled hours.
May require longer hours and occasional weekend work.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:
Degree or certification in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in using MS Office suites (2013-O365) 2-5 years' experience in an IT support department.
Experience providing technical support to end users.
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a group setting and independently.
Ability to multitask and set priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and orientation toward meticulous work.
Experience in networked computing environment.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivated Individual.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical & problem-solving abilities.
Basic repair skills for workstations and peripherals.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and differentiate between hardware and software problems and work to resolution.
Bonus Points:
Procore or construction industry software experience.
IT documentation tools such as Jira, Autotask, ConnectWise, etc.
Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
Understanding of appropriate allocation of work and good prioritization skills.
Experience with system administration (Windows & Linux) is a plus.
Experience with database administration (SQL Server) is a plus.
Experience with DNS, DHCP & Active Directory a plus.
Experience with WANs, routers, modems, controllers, firewalls, gateways a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
