Description:
The Truterra Retail Leader champions the account manager team and readies them to execute programs with their accountsThey work with multiple levels of leadership at strategic accounts to provide thought leadership and help support planning within the retailer's teamThey are the expert on all retail offerings and are responsible for helping the team position programs and our overall platform to our channel partners, with farmers.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Champion and mentor the account manager team, ensuring they are well-prepared and motivated to excel in their roles.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture that aligns with the company's values and objectives.
Thought Leadership:
Engage with multiple levels of leadership at strategic accounts to provide valuable thought leadership.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities to guide the team effectively.
Relationship Management & Collaboration:
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align strategies,Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at strategic accounts.
Act as a liaison between the company and clients, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction.

Retail Expertise & Program Positioning:
Serve as the expert on all retail offerings, understanding the intricacies of the market and the needs of channel partners.
Collaborate with the team to position programs and the overall platform effectively to channel partners, with a particular focus on engaging farmers.
Work closely with the account manager team to position programs strategically, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
Provide guidance on tailoring offerings to meet the specific needs of individual accounts.
Innovate in the sales execution process, segmentation and prioritization of retailers and farmersRequired
Experience:
8
years of experience in a sales / business development / key account leadership role within the grain/biofuels /ag sustainability space4
years of experience managing a sales or business development team4-year college degree (Bachelor's) or equivalent work experienceAbility to See the big picture of the organization and understands how the key drivers of the business relate to each other, work together to produce profitable growth, and relate to the jobSkills in finance and risk managementProactive communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skillsTrustworthy with a strong level of personal commitmentAbility to make sound decisions and complete tasks in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to juggle multiple retailers simultaneously, while staying focused on details and executionProven ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and to influence at all levelsAbility to work independently and manage productivityExperience demonstrating agility and leading/adapting quickly to changeWorking knowledge of agronomics, products, and crops and ability to develop and educate others on products, services, programs, greenhouse gas accounting and technologySolid experience using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom); and CRM software (Salesforce)Must have current and valid state driver's licenseAbility to travel up to 50%, including evenings and some weekends; may require working long hours during peak seasonSalary is negotiable based on
