Reporting directly to the Business Application Manager, this position is responsible for leading the design, code development, testing, debugging, configuration of the data warehouse and business intelligence systems (Tableau) and integrations to other applications, along with doing development.
Additionally, the individual will provide day-to-day guidance to junior and mid-level team members through coaching and mentorship towards successful project delivery, by maintaining high standards of code quality, following best practices, and leading by example.
What you will do:
Lead data warehouse design, configuration, development, enhancement, and support within Microsoft tools.
Lead development and maintenance of Tableau security, architecture, and data feeds.
Design, code, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications that are being enhanced and migrated from a legacy BI platform to Tableau.
Work with cross-functional teams to enhance and migrate analytic and operational code/process data sources from legacy platforms to Tableau.
Creation and validation of complete and balanced data source/feeds to Tableau and CRM.
Evaluate user requests for new or modified code processes to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems and capabilities.
Maintain an understanding of and compliance with all internal controls, coding standards and practices.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 or more years of progressive experience required writing complex SQL queries (SQL, ETL, and SSIS development) 3 or more years of experience with deep knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online Verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills Ability and willingness to coach and mentor other team members Self-motivated, ability to work independently and manage one's time Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and research into systems and data issues Proven influence skills, using written and oral communication skills - including the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business terms.
