ARMHS Practitioners provide support to our clients living in the community within the guidelines of each recipient's Individual Treatment Plan.
The ARMHS Practitioner position requires collaboration and active listening to support each person that is being served.
The ARMHS Practitioner will appropriately document visits and will objectively record progress and progression towards the recipient's desired treatment goals.
An ARMHS Practitioner's role will be working with participants in the following areas:
Communication Skills Community Living and Mobility Interpersonal Skills Crisis Intervention Skill Development, Symptom Management, etc.
Promoting goal-orientated person-centered services that enhance each person's progression to their desired goals.
Teaches healthy living habits and develops the accompanying skills.
DIAGNOSES:
The clients we serve at RTI are individuals who have diagnosed with an SMI (Serious Mental Illness) which include the following:
Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia, PTSD, and others.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
Must maintain a person-centered approach.
Ability to organize and work independently.
Strong written and oral communication skills and must be able to document in an objective and effective manner.
Must maintain valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
Applicants must have a working vehicle with valid auto insurance.
Applicants must be able to lift 40 lbs.
or more ARMHS Practitioners providing services for the treatment of mental illness must be under clinical supervision of a Mental Health Professional and must be qualified in at least ONE of the following ways:
1.
Holds a bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or a related field, from an accredited college or university, AND meets either criteria:
a.
) Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to recipients with severe mental illness.
OR b.
) Is fluent in a non-English language of a cultural group to which at least 50% of the practitioners' recipients belong, completes 40 hours of training in the delivery of services to recipients with severe mental illness and receives clinical supervision from a Mental Health Professional at least once a week until the requirements of 2,000 hours of supervised experience are met.
OR 2.
Is a graduate student in one of the mental health professional disciplines and an accredited college or university formally assigns the student to an agency or facility for clinical training.
OR 3.
Holds a master's or another graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university.
OR 4.
Is a tribally certified mental health practitioner who is serving a federally recognized Indian tribe.
