13 an hour The Minnesota Board of Pharmacy is a state agency that was established in 1885.
Its mission is to preserve and protect the public health, safety, and welfare of Minnesotans by promoting the safe distribution of pharmaceuticals and the provision of quality pharmacy care.
The Board fulfills this mission through examination and licensure of pharmacists, regulation of the practice of pharmacy, inspection of licensed facilities, investigation of complaints, and the issuance of disciplinary orders and agreements for corrective action.
The Board manages the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) and Opiate Product Registration Fee Program (OPRFP) and administers the Minnesota Insulin Safety Net Program (in cooperation with MNsure).
Board staff also help educate pharmacists and others about laws, rules, and best standards of practice.

Job Summary This position serves as a member of the Board's leadership team and leads the Board's enforcement function including analysis and application of laws and rules, case documentation, policies, procedures, and follow-up actions.
The incumbent provides legal guidance and investigation, procedural, documentation, and record keeping training for Board staff.
The incumbent works closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Board's Committee on Professional Standards (COPS), and the Attorney General's office to determine and implement disciplinary and corrective actions.
The incumbent also participates in and supports the Board's budgeting, strategic planning, and process improvement initiatives; contributes to preparation of informational and educational materials; reviews, analyzes, and data and case management trends; and prepares reports and recommendations.
The incumbent supervises and oversees the work of professional and administrative support staff, directs and oversees case preparation and presentation, and guides complaint and disciplinary processes and procedures.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of professional experience in investigating, regulating or administering licensure, complaint or quality assurance files related to health care professions.
Experience must include investigating complaints, ensuring compliance with disciplinary or remedial remedies, and providing technical assistance to staff and clientele.
Bachelor's degree in a health, pharmacy, medical or legal related field, including health services administration, hospital administration, organizational leadership, public health, or criminal justice, may substitute for one year of experience.
An advanced degree in a health, pharmacy, medical or legal related field, including health services administration, hospital administration, organizational leadership, public health, or criminal justice may substitute for 18 months of experience.
Supervisory or lead worker experience, including directing or facilitating, evaluating and reporting on staff performance.
Experience leading projects and teams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, conceptualize, analyze, manage, and resolve complex and adverse situations.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate complex issues and solutions to diverse clientele.
Preferred Qualifications Juris Doctorate degree.
Understanding of state and federal statutes and rules applicable to the Board's licensing and regulatory processes.
Experience leading in the public sector.
