We are seeking a Middle School Science Teacher to join our 7th and 8th Grade team.
In addition to teaching Science, the Teacher will serve as the Advisory/Ethics Teacher.
The qualified applicant will hold a Minnesota Teaching license in Science, have a strong understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards in Science, possess the ability to develop rapport with learners of diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate an unyielding commitment to helping all students attain high academic and ethical standards of performance.
We place great emphasis upon building community and encouraging character development through positive relationships.
Home Visits have been a key component of the CPA tradition for over 20 years.
Each fall, Teachers visit the homes of their students after school, usually in pairs or teams of three.
Developmental Designs is implemented across grades 5-8.
All of our teachers are required to be trained in DD1.
Training opportunities are available for new staff in the summer months and during the school year, and internal coaching and support is provided in implementing DD practices.
In addition, all teachers are supported in their professional growth through weekly PLCs, structured common planning, and frequent observation and coaching.
All new teachers are also supported by a Mentor.
Recommended Skills Consulting Ethics Teaching Academic Standards Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
