Job Summary This posting will be used to fill two vacancies.
As part of a team of professional human resource specialists, this position provides entry-level professional human resources program administration and technical support to the supervisors and managers of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).
Primary responsibilities include vacancy development and administration, recruitment, classification determination, Affirmative Action compliance review and reporting, agency retirements, and post retirement options.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Two years of para-professional/technical-level human resources experience OR one year of professional-level human resources experience.
(Note:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or closely related field will qualify for the described experience).
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to interpret and provide consult/guidance on collective bargaining agreements/compensation plans.
Ability to analyze and applying critical thinking sufficient to evaluate information; ask questions and conduct research; compare/contrast information; conduct, write and document job analyses; make job classification and selection-related decisions and recommendations.
Ability to use an applicant-tracking system sufficient to post job announcements, screen resumes and refer applicant lists to hiring managers.
Human/interpersonal relations sufficient to interact professionally and respectfully with management, staff and job candidates.
