6K a year 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the operation maintenance service and repair of equipment as assigned.
The Technician is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program handling requests and other work orders as assigned.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for leading and implementing and maintaining plant effectiveness, emphasizing on machine maintenance and performance upkeep.
Responsible for responding to all unplanned downtime or breakdowns on machines.
Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting problems.
Plan and execute maintenance activities for non-routine problems or issues.
Troubleshoot equipment and system problems for manufacturing and facility equipment both routine and complex using a method of troubleshooting to get to a root cause.
Responsible for assessing and coordinating with outside vendors for advanced troubleshooting.
Creates and proposes annual capital expense list for the facility.
Design, fabricate and install equipment and perform program changes.
Be engaged in safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Lead and assist in the planning, coordination and performance of shutdown and major maintenance activities.
Work with minimal supervision.
Oversees the day-to-day housekeeping of shop and areas where maintenance activities are performed.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment, to include repairs, and adjustments, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Advises operators and others of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with equipment and components.
Works safely and promotes a safe working environment.
Including but not limited to exercising safe work practices at all times, complying with Lock-Out/Tag Out procedures, etc.
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
Performs lockouts or tag out as required Proactively complete PLC Electrical maintenance work which may include pneumatic, hydraulic and general repair and maintenance of all equipment to maintain quality and production levels.
Other Duties as required.
Required Education and
Experience:
2 Years of post-secondary schooling in an industrial maintenance related field, Associates Degree Preferred.
3 Years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or 5-7 years in industrial maintenance as a multi-skill technician.
Experience diagnosing and documenting requirement breakdowns, resolving issues and handling repairs in a timely manner.
Familiar with automation, PLC's and basic debugging.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical and mechanicals issues, as well as basic PLC level in automated handling systems.
Experience in a manufacturing setting in the areas of Electricla PLC, hydraulic, etc.
is highly preferred.
Technical certifications are a plus, but not required.
Demonstrated problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Ability to effectively communication within a high-growth, fast-paced company.
Solution provider with a positive can-do attitude.
