Merchants Bank has an opening for a Technology Infrastructure Manager.
This in office position could work from any of our branch locations in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
This position serves as the responsible party for all the cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure including storage, compute, and communications technologies to provide expected business and customer outcomes.
This position will coordinate with and supervise infrastructure related IT employees but is expected to have hands on experience and be able to provide hands on implementation and maintenance of the related infrastructure.
This position will be responsible for ongoing implementation and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 environment including SharePoint, Intune and Teams, Instant Messaging, and voice functionality.
Will coordinate server, storage, and data infrastructure implementation and support.
This position will involve maintaining vendor relationships and working with business line leaders.
This position requires 3 years of experience in infrastructure management including knowledge of storage systems, virtual and physical computer resources and communications technologies including LAN/WAN/Internet and voice.
Also, must have hands-on experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and the Microsoft 365 environment and tools.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and a desire to investigate and learn.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for day-to-day management of the bank's on-premises and cloud infrastructure including storage, compute, and communications technologies.

This role would work closely with the VP of Digital Solutions to ensure improvement of both employee and customer digital experiences.
Will coordinate network and voice systems implementation and support with the bank's network administrator.
Will coordinate server, storage and data infrastructure implementation and support with the bank's server and application administrators.
Responsible for day-to-day management of backup power systems in the bank's on-premises data centers including generators and UPS systems.
Responsible for maintaining appropriate data backup and recovery processes for on-premises and cloud-based bank data.
Maintains vendor relationships with the bank's infrastructure managed service partners.
Work with business line leaders and business-related projects to identify and ensure appropriate infrastructure requirements are in place to meet the business goals.
Assist in the organization's strategic planning processes to ensure infrastructure related needs and requirements are included in the planning process.
Develop, maintain, and oversee the organization's technical asset management and system configuration standards related to technical infrastructure.
Develop, maintain, and oversee the organization's hardware and software lifecycle management processes including application and equipment support licensing Ensure infrastructure implementations and changes are in line with the bank's security and change management policies and procedures.
Employee will be expected to take responsibility to ensure that internal and external customers receive outstanding service.
Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs.
Employee will be expected to complete compliance and product knowledge assignments in a timely manner.
Skills and Abilities Required:
3 years of experience in infrastructure management including knowledge of and hands-on experience with storage systems, virtual and physical compute resources and communications technologies including LAN/WAN/Internet and voice.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure configuration and management, specifically Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge and experience of cloud security solutions relevant to cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 environment and tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Supervisory experience in an IT environment.
Ability to create and use standard business communication tools such as Microsoft Office and other tools to provide reporting information to organization leadership.
Highly organized self-starter, curious, and willing to investigate and learn.
Working Conditions:
Little or no discomfort caused by environmental factors.
Some exposure to mental/visual fatigue resulting from research of complex systems issues.
Some travel required.
Hours may be unpredictable due to security response, installations, configuration, research, and updates that must be performed outside of normal banking hours.
Relationships:
Responsible to the VP/Datacenter and Director of Information Security for fulfillment of functions, responsibilities, and authority, and for their proper interpretation.
Will have contact with the Executive Team, Board of Directors, regulators, auditors, department managers and staff, bank-wide managers, end-users, and third-party vendors.
