Position
Summary:
The Segment Marketing Manager will manage the alignment between Ergotrons products, services, and solutions, and the preferences, trends, and needs of the market.
You will be responsible for a true outside-in view of your assigned segment.
You will translate that information to build and implement winning business strategies and innovation, to support overall growth strategies.
This customer-centric role understands the segment, the buyers, their needs, and their journey.
You will collaborate with partners in geographic regions, engineering, sales, channel, and engagement marketing to create and execute marketing plans, launch products and services, develop sales enablement tools, and deliver campaigns that grow market share, revenue, and profit.
The Segment Marketing Manager reports to the Director, Segment Marketing, and is a key position to drive our continued growth and brand recognition worldwide.
Position
Responsibilities:
Support development and execution of the annual segment marketing plan to grow the business Establish and maintain a deep understanding of global market, including, but not limited to, trends, customers/personas, needs and buyer journey, price elasticity, competitors, based on sound internal and external insights Define the Go-To-Market strategy for products within your segment, in support of the Ergotron strategy, leveraging customer personas and buyer preferences Prioritize and align target audiences and positioning of solutions to support development of effective in market messaging Turn market problems, insights, and customer pain points, into product or service opportunities Create winning value propositions that enable strong in market products and messages that differentiate Ergotron Partner with portfolio management to align product growth plans with segment growth plans Develop, maintain, and feed innovation roadmap, with responsibility to represent customer Lead the cross-functional team that develops and commercializes solutions Lead marketing launch process through post-launch reporting Partner with, enable, and empower internal, external sales and channel teams to execute strategies that generate demand and deliver results for the segment Lead regular segment business reviews to report on health of business, ensuring a proactive approach is taken to meet or exceed KPIs Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

business or marketing degree preferred 3-5
years of experience in a Segment/Channel Marketing, Product Management/Marketing, Marketing Manager role with an emphasis on hard goods, software, or other tangible technology products Must be a strategic thought leader that can see the big picture, establish vision for the segment, articulate and drive a strong plan of execution Demonstrated ability to set and achieve strategic initiatives that specifically align with organizational goals in a fast paced and nimble environment Must work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as external partners, to drive alignment and collaboration A track record of high achievement, meeting/exceeding goals, accountability, and driving results Demonstrated ability to analyze business results, monitoring performance against plan, and reporting results Market research experience, including, but not limited to, analyzing secondary research and data, as well as leading primary research activities to uncover insights and identify problems Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including listening, presenting, and determining the best communication vehicle for the intended outcome Must have a passion for the success, satisfaction, and development of solutions that delight customers Strong business insight, agility and decision-making skills required Strong Financial Acumen required Experience working within a highly matrixed organization; global experience is a plus Demonstrated success leading, influencing, and aligning cross-functional teams Proficient in MS Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); Oracle and Salesforce preferred Experience with innovation and marketing for industrial or healthcare settings/segments a plus Must live/work within a commutable driving distance of the Eagan, MN facility Must be willing to travel approximately 10% (some international) Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position
