POSITION TIG or MIG Welder JOB LOCATION Vadnais Heights, MN or Coon Rapids, MN STARTING DATE Immediately EMPLOYMENT TERM Direct Hire EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time WORK HOURS (SHIFT) Shifts vary depending on your preferred work schedule! (Mon-Thur 6am-3:

years of experience in TIG, MIG, or Tack welding
Responsibilities:
Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.
Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product.
Control the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of spare parts.
Examining finish products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments Welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding job.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 2
years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred) Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Perform repetitive work.
Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements.
