Database Systems Analyst

Job Summary :
This position provides ERP database administration including enterprise level administration of related applications.
Responsibilities :
Help install, configure and maintain the universitys database systems; help manage database backup, storage and access.
Provide Banner system administration including upgrades and patches to Banner instances and application servers; resolve technical Banner-related issues; support ancillary Banner-related systems.
Perform database optimization and tuning, monitor system performance, and implement and maintain database security.
Address regulatory compliance related to the universitys ERP and ancillary systems.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
Must have a good understanding of database, application server, and related utilities and tools.
Must have a sound knowledge of and the ability to perform Oracle performance tuning and monitoring.
Must have a good understand of and the ability to perform database backups and exercise recovery scenarios.
Must have significant business process analysis and architecting systems experience.
Must have proven experience in problem solving in a multi system environment.
Must have a good working knowledge of the Banner ERP system and understand its interconnection with Banner-related products and projects.
Must have knowledge of and proven experience in writing SQL (structured query language).
Must have sound communication skills in interacting with management, development teams, system administrators and vendors.
Must have a sound understanding of the business of the university and how it relates to the ERP system.
Must be detail-orientated and organized.
Must be able to organize, prioritize and handle multiple ongoing tasks in a controlled environment.
Required Experience :
2
years of documented experience administering database systems, oracle database preferred.
2
years supporting an ERP system.
2-3 years of experience in critical analysis.
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; the equivalent knowledge gained through database administration experience may be considered.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
