Digital Product Owner Description Manages key product line lifecycles.
Understands and interprets market and industry trends.
Leads the marketing initiatives for new product introduction and existing product change introduction.
Develops the long-term product line strategy, forecast, and the annual operating plan.
Provides product line budget requirements into the business unit annual operating plan.
Drives the development of product introduction plans.
Develops all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure the successful launch of new products and throughout the subsequent lifecycle.
Presents marketing approach for functional review and to the change management review group.
Drives pricing activity throughout the product lifecycle.
Drives available marketing resources and uses those resources appropriately and as needed.
Ensures that the product branding strategy is implemented effectively, and leads and supports internal and external communications in relations to the product range.
Protects intellectual property of the organization, and works with legal counsel and engineering to ensure asset protection.
Uses market research capabilities to plan for and implements an appropriate approach based on the understanding of Cummins target market and competitors.
Defines and adopts, in the target market, a specific stance relative to the competition with the use of market research capabilities.
Drives improvement of customer satisfaction and solves elevated customer issues in relation to product.
Drives management of the product lifecycle; determines when products should be deemed obsolete.
Develops, implements, and measures results of product promotions.
Collaborates with other functions and global locations to ensure global profitability of the product line.
Recommends marketing process changes that will improve Value Package Introduction and Value Package Change processes.
Develops work plans for Product Managers and Associate Product Managers to deliver product line results; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.

Education, Licenses, Certifications College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, technical, or a related subject required.

Experience Significant relevant work experience required, including supervisory experience.
Lead the Agile software teams implementation and execution of the digital roadmap for PowerCommand Cloud (PCC) and Connect Cloud remote monitoring digital solutions.
Works with Product Leader and Product Manager to stay aligned with PCC and Connect Cloud short and long-term business goals and strategies.
Works with Product Manger to translate Initiatives and Epics into features and stories.
Work with the software leaders and system architects to understand systems platform architecture and capability.
Manages the product backlog for both PCC and Connect Cloud to meet team goals, and strategies.
Managing the product backlog includes creating, refining, prioritizing, and sequencing backlog items to ensure the economic success of the solution; defines key performance indicators and objectives and key results (OKRs); defines acceptance criteria that complies with the Definition of Done (DoD); determines the details of a product feature to ensure all questions are answered so that development can proceed.
Leads Program Increment (PI) planning and feature planning with the software team; work with the software team to break features down into stories and plan them into sprints for development.
Technical expertise in understanding the scope of enabler work; collaborates with Systems and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist decisions and sequencing of technology enablers.
Works together with PSBU VPI and engineering teams to align on project work, requirements and development schedules which is needed to manage and execute PCC product backlog.
Participates in daily stand ups and Scrum meetings, answers questions and provides clarity on the product, stories, and features.
Accountable for managing the software team to achieve on-time delivery of PI objectives and commitments.
Leads system demo and provides status updates to leadership teams.
Participates in Iteration Retrospective, and the Inspect & Adapt workshops.
Knowledge and practical experience in an agile/lean environment and commercial product lifecycle management Knowledge and practical experience collaborating closely with technical teams to streamline the execution of program / product priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of features or components for the team.
Knowledge and practical experience with cloud-based applications product ownership, product management, or development, with telematics-based IoT solutions preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to customers, partners, and a broad range of technical and non-technical business stakeholders, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations Work location flexible - MN or IN Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range:
$97,600-$146,400.
