Contracting Specialist Associate - Supply Chain (REMOTE)

Overview The Contracting Specialist Associate is responsible for negotiating, managing and maintaining low volume, low cost supply contracts and standard purchased service contracts, renewing and maintaining equipment service maintenance and renew pricing agreements.
Perform cost analysis and savings validations on projects.
Responsibilities
Negotiate, manage and maintain low volume, low cost supply and standard purchased service contracts.

Coordinating with site the list of contracts criteria
Searches for like supplies or services across sites for synergies
Negotiates with suppliers the best terms for Fairview
Identify and document projected savings and or cost avoidance Completes the contract documentation
Enter contract information into People Soft and Premier, if applicable.

Renew and maintain equipment maintenance and service agreements.

Annual value of equipment maintenance and service agreements is between $15 and $20 Million.

Verifies with site that equipment and/ or service is still being utilized.

Inquires about outstanding issues or concerns.

Contacts supplier to request updated proposal; reviews and calculate.

Evaluates vendor performance
Transfers any terms discrepancies to the appropriate Contracting
Specialist for their review and decision.

Updates contract into People Soft with renewal information.

Renew Pricing Agreements
Update contract to reflect current pricing information.

Enter contract and pricing information into People Soft and Premier, if applicable.

Transfer pricing information to Purchasing to be loaded.

Perform Cost analysis and savings validations.

Analyzes opportunities for cost savings
Validates Calculations and documents projected savings by project by site for Savings and Tracking tool
Prepares and submits cost analysis and validation for Contract Specialist
Primarily serves as a contracting resource on Process Improvement teams without a Project Manager
Take, write and distribute minutes from meetings
Facilitate meetings when Contract Specialist is unavailable
Gather, analyze and present data required as a result of the team meeting.

Stand in for Contract Specialist.

Back up for Contact Specialist when they are backlogged or out on Holiday.

Attend meetings with Project Manager upon request.

First point of contact for internal and external customers when the Contract Specialist is unavailable.
Qualifications REQUIRED:

Associate Degree
Four or more years of experience in supply chain or contract experience.
+PREFERRED:

Bachelors degree
Six or more years progressive experience supply chain field or contract experience.
