Instructor is responsible for all activities related to college teaching and learning including, but not limited to instructional planning & curriculum development, teaching & learning, instructional facilitation, student evaluation, student records, student recruitment, retention and advising, student placement, lab/climate management, interpersonal relations, effective team member skills and duties, maintenance of professional skills and credentials, and participate on college committees.
The Clinical Director will be responsible for leading the implementation of the clinical experience portion of the program including the development of clinical objectives, planning and coordinating clinical experiences, administrative duties, and continuous review/revision of the program.
Minimum Qualifications Associate degree and a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program in surgical technology or an associate degree in nursing.
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified operating room experience as a practicing surgical technologist (scrub role) or an operating room nurse including scrub experience.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA formerly LCC-ST).
Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years' experience teaching in higher education Bachelor's degree.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with a variety of people as a team member.
